This origami-inspired flat product folds out into a diaper lamp for a modern yet space-saving light design!
The flat-packed designs are really quite intriguing! They are portable, easy to assemble and take up minimal space. From foldable furniture designs to photo studios and stationery, there’s nothing that can’t be flat-packed. These designs not only rate high on space efficiency, but also eliminate the use of heavier space designs. They are certainly functionally and ergonomically beneficial, but they also have a minimal and clean aesthetic, which allows them to blend harmoniously into any living space. Flat-packed designs are the future!
Spinel is a pendant lamp designed to be easily transformed. The main goal was to create a product that didn’t take up too much space and was also durable. “Our responsibility as designers is to produce objects that occupy the smallest possible volume. The goal is to use the least amount of raw materials, producing long-lasting objects that can be easily recycled, ”explains Guille Cameron. The origami-shaped shape is minimal, elegant and certainly unique. The unfolding of the lamp adds a dynamic layer to the product and the wood design itself is a warm addition to any space.
While there is no doubt that this lamp is an amazing product, it is a centerpiece in holistic product development, making it an example for industrial designers around the world!
