Garden Design Process
Jane offers a tailored Design Service to suit your individual requirements and budget, ranging from a one-off consultation visit to a full planning service.
Initial Consultation - First, Jane will need to visit the site to familiarise herself with the conditions, discuss the design requirements, cost estimates and budget. She will also provide examples of her recent work, including photos,
to give the client ideas and possible design solutions.
Designs & Plans - If you are happy to proceed after the Initial Consultation, Jane will complete a site survey and design work can commence. All designs are created using professional CAD software; this enables Jane to produce 2D and 3D drawings that bring the proposed design to life, allowing you to more closely see what your finished garden will look like. Design changes can easily be accommodated, and finally documents produced for the contractor.
Landscape Management, Plant Sourcing & Planting - Once the design has been finalised, Jane can manage the landscaping and construction of your garden using professional landscaping companies. She also offers plant sourcing and planting to ensure the creation of your dream garden!
Estimated Costs & Budget - The cost of a design depends on many factors such as the dimensions and characteristics of your garden. When considering how much to spend, it is worth treating your garden as a financial investment and budgeting between 4-10% of the property value. This is only a guideline; your personal budget will always be considered in any design work.
