Designer Jane Grehan
Jane Grehan established Dewin Designs with the aim of realising her dream to work as a garden designer, in a more natural environment. She worked hard to develop her qualifications and skills in the field:
· City & Guilds - Specifying & Designing Landscapes - Pencoed College 1999
· HNC Garden Design - Pershore College 2002
Jane has continued her professional development by regularly attending courses on specific areas of design such as garden lighting, drainage, sustainable landscape, permaculture & forest gardens, she aims to design using these principles where possible.
During her career she has worked on countless projects from small gardens to large community projects. Her creative designs have won medals at both the RHS Show Cardiff and Royal Welsh Show:
· RHS Show Cardiff 2012 - Silver Gilt Medal
· RHS Show Cardiff 2008 - Bronze Medal
· Royal Welsh Show 2003 - Gold Medal
· Royal Welsh Show 2002 - Gold Medal & Best in Show
Among her favourite projects are designs for small courtyard gardens where space is at a premium and every element of the garden has to really earn its place. She has also enjoyed working on several school projects for children and has designed several show garden areas for a national house builder.
